How it works?

Fundamentals of Gidit's design
External Structure
  • We organize the ADHD person with scaffolding to managing deficits: memory, executive, planning, more.

  • Micro-tasks for dopamine building to bigger tasks

  • Predict current interests to prioritize tasks that would have been worked on either way.

  • No Schedules, no endless alerts, no complex gamification

  • Use adhd's prioritization structure: Competition, Novelty, Interest, Urgency

  • By Providing positive feedback only, we avoid discouraging the person with ADHD.

  • Compete against the you of yesterday

Positive Feedback

Why we do it?

At 37, Bobby discovered he had ADHD. A sudden sense of remorse overwhelmed him as he reflected on the consequences of a life of poor decisions -- lost time with his son, lost friendships, and failed relationships; he had assumed the behaviors were just who he was... a bad person.

ADHD prevented Bobby from completing tasks and achieving goals causing feelings of defeat and inadequacy to accomplish his dreams. Bobby had tried many typical time managment strategies, but none worked longer than a few weeks. ADHD apps were annoying with endless alerts, and ineffective for productivity. Study of expert theories led to self-testing ADHD tactics with spotty success; however, ADHD community feedback was most effective.

Bobby began designing a tailored process. Armed with self-taught computer science skills, he began building Gidit. The most effective methods came from trial and error, and helped form his ADHD owners manual. Gidit allowed Bobby to be consistent, complete tasks, and achieved goals -- one of which was Gidit.

Who are we?

We are the best community for ADHDer's because we are caring and passionate people, building technology to support people struggling with ADHD through: discovery and understanding, friendship, self-confidence, positive feedback, and external structure. We collect feedback from people with ADHD to discover effective coping methods, then perform trials for practical application.
